Our History
Technically speaking, the brand-new Harmony Celebration was formed officially in May 2007 in the eyes of its parent organization, Sweet Adelines International. The core of its ranks was pulled from the now-retired, three-time International Champion Ramapo Valley Chorus. But more than one-fifth of this 50-plus women's chorus have joined in the past year. And now we’re writing a new history book.
Under the direction of the dynamic Scott Brannon, Harmony Celebration intends to continue its tradition of producing highly entertaining shows and performing in the community on a regular basis. We also seek to represent the highest levels of achievement on the competition stage. During our first visit to the regional contest in April 2008, we are proud to have earned Third Place medals and status as the region's Second Place Midsize Chorus!
