Thanks to Everyone for a Marvelous Show!
Posted on: 2007-12-06 00:00:00It seems literally eons, but it's been a mere five days since Celebrate A Cappella, our first official show as our new official Harmony Celebration selves. Nothing is ever perfect from the stage-side perspective, but we more than surpassed our goal of proving to ourselves and our faithful fans that WE'VE STILL GOT THE MAGIC!
Our weeks-new director, Scott Brannon, was a ball of energy onstage. Which made it a breeze to give back to him. Our quartets -- Vanity Fair, Fanfare! and Just4 -- were just terrific, as was Scott's own Our Town. What a sound, guys! As for our featured guests, Vocal Spectrum, they were a revelation! Many mouths were agape after their vocal gymnastics. And now, we're thinking about doing it all over again next year. Never too early to start planning!
Back at rehearsal, we've just welcomed our latest member. That makes six in the past two months AND we've got another wonderful singer who has just passed her audition. Make more room on the risers, ladies!
And so, now we have FOUR months to go before the Region 15 competition. More new music. Hurray! If you feel like checking us out live, we rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
